On April 28th, Wale released his much anticipated album ‘SHINE’ a week early. When asked about the vibe of the album he said: “I put myself through a lot of doom and gloom, and I’m just like, ‘Wale, man, just be happier, bro,’ he said. “This one just feels different. It’s just about having your vibe and your glow. This is really just about shining.”

Wale linked up with fellow DMV native Phil Ade for “Smile,” an infectious record that is reportedly aimed at conservative political instigator Tomi Lahren. After his record “Running Back,” with Lil Wayne he linked with G-Eazy for their new song “Fashion Week” and released  “Fish n Grits” featuring Travis Scott.

It will be a busy summer for Wale as he hits the road May 5th in Atlanta for the Shine Tour.
